About Me
I am a Clinical Psychologist based in Gloucestershire with ten years of experience working within Mental Health Teams in the NHS. My expertise is in assessing and treating adults experiencing a wide range of psychological, emotional, relational and physical health difficulties.

I currently work both privately and within the NHS, in the latter specialising with adults with complex and long standing mental health difficulties. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have Chartered Psychologist status with the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have professional civil liability insurance, and hold a current DBS check.

As a Clinical Psychologist I have been trained to draw on a number of models, depending on the needs of an individual. This includes aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodyanmic Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing and mindfulness.

I have also completed two years of additional specialist psychotherapy training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). The primary goal of ISTDP is to enable an individual to face into their feelings and emotions about past and present experiences that often overwhelm them due to their frightening, threatening, or painful nature. My therapeutic work is largely informed by this model.

I have a particular interest in helping people to develop a meaningful understanding of their difficulties as an alternative to medical frameworks such as diagnosis and medication.
